I have decided that there are whole parts of my life that simply must be endured for the time being. Getting out of debt– and thereby giving me much more control over my life– is a matter that will take a couple of months to resolve. The meaning of contentment interests me. I doubt that actual happiness can ever be a static reality. Real health is a process that constantly rejuvenates itself. It is a perpetual system of change, growth. Happiness is not so much the achievement of a certain state of affairs as it is the cultivated capacity to experience joy.
