June 6th, 1977

After work today the CarPoolettes stopped at Safeway and I bought fixins for cheeseburgers. Lynn came up and she and Jim and I had dinner. Real dinner. Cheeseburgers and vegetables and cottage cheese. I love being domestic around here. Jimmy and I have no tensions. What a nice way to live. This old apartment has turned into a real home. A cozy place. Later, Jim went out to meet friends and watch a baseball game at a bar. Lynn and I sit and chat. We act crazy. I love her. Don drops by. George comes over. Animated conversation about the Florida Gay Rights Referendum spearheaded by Anita Bryant. Love being surrounded by my friends. They leave, Don stays for awhile. We get down to girl talk. Now he is gone and I am stretched out in the living room in Gene’s robe feeling very content and happy.
