Surrender is actually the realization of our creature-hood. The power that brought galaxies into existence and sustains their harmony— created creatures with consciousness. We are capable of nothing. It is that power that opens our eyelids in the morning and raises our body up. Our life is not an act of our will. We are created out of love. By surrendering— by recognizing our true dependence— our powerlessness— do we become susceptible to the flow of power that made us— sustains us— and intends for us to be happy. Detachment comes from this knowledge. Peace.
