An excerpt from Larry’s journal. Dated Wednesday, October 14th, 1981.

I’ve decided that I must take next Monday and Tuesday off— giving myself a much-needed four-day reset. If certain things are accomplished tomorrow and Friday— that would be possible. I had intended to get a lot more done today. Time spent training Allan on the typesetting equipment, a constant stream of last-minute corrections on Wanamaker’s (which I thought was finished) simply kept me from getting work done.

I must:

  • Finish Typesetting Famous Barr — 6 hours

  • Typeset Lazarus Men’s — 9 hours

  • Correct Atkins — 30 hours

  • Strawbridge — 4 hours

It’s impossible. It’s hopeless. It’s unmanageable. It’s killing me.
