Whirlwinds of activity I can barely keep up with myself. My days are approaching my fantasies of the young man about town dating and having a good time. Tonight, after a totally frantic day of housecleaning and running around for tickets, Ken– one of my current beaus– and I are going to the Kennedy Center for a play. Then back to my shiny apartment for quiche and champagne. Then tomorrow night is my little sailor hunk. And Monday night the Shirley Bassey concert at the Kennedy Center. And Tuesday night a date with my Australian. I love Autumn.

Meanwhile, yesterday I had lunch with the owner of a publishing company in Virginia who wants me for his production manager. Eighteen grand a year. Great dismay at the thought of leaving retail for publishing. Foreign language textbooks at that. Oh well. Much activity. I love life. I’m very happy.
