Half mad he existed through endless desperate days. A life of morbid introspection. A world of habitual melancholy. There was no intellect to his being. He was driven by dull urges and unarticulated pains. He lived an emotional, messy life riddled with waste. Bright dreams crushed beneath a suffocating quilt of shame and guilt. Crazy desperate attempts to be loved– trying to locate, for sure, that one bright spot. But there was nothing to cling to– only fragmented masturbatory fantasies that flecked his background. Like stars.
